Your First Visit
We want you to feel comfortable and informed when you come for your first visit in our office. This is what you can expect:
Discussion: Your hygienist will begin by covering any dental concerns you may be experiencing and any personal interest or goals in enhancing the cosmetic appearance of your teeth. These concerns will be addressed or scheduled for your next appointment.
Hygiene: If you need periodontal treatment we will focus on getting you treatment for that first. If you qualify for general hygiene your hygienist will remove plaque and tartar from your teeth and gumline. Your hygienist will use a handheld electric toothbrush to polish your teeth. After polishing, your hygienist will gently floss them, ending in fresh and clean teeth.
Examination: At the end of your visit, your dentist will perform a comprehensive oral exam including reviewing current x-rays. Your dentist will be looking for early signs of gum disease and tooth decay to help prevent future, more expensive issues. Your oral health is our priority, and we aim to provide a thorough examination for your well-being.
Setting up future visits: Consistency is key to maintaining good oral health. Getting your teeth cleaned and examined every six months, along with daily brushing and flossing, helps catch and prevent tooth pain and problems. Scheduling your appointment while at our office ensures your next visit is set.
